Our healthcare initiatives refuse to treat emergency response as a temporary endpoint. We focus on identifying deep-seated structural vulnerabilities—such as the absence of pediatric intensive care or geographical barriers to cancer screenings—and collaborate with local experts to build permanent, high-impact medical infrastructure that saves lives during and after crises.
Free Health Camp For Community Women
In collaboration with Engage Nepal, Binayatara Foundation has helped cancer patients in Madhesh region who had to travel more than 8 hours by bus with difficulties to the nearest cancer hospital before to be able to access cutting-edge cancer care close to home from care providers who understand their culture and speak their language.
Emergency Medical Camp for flood-affected families
Fusion Nepal, in collaboration with Engage Nepal, successfully organized an emergency medical camp for flood-affected families in Balkhu slum. The camp addressed major health issues such as respiratory infections, skin diseases, diarrheal illness, fever, malnutrition, and post-traumatic stress.
Ambulance Service
Over the last decade, Nepal Ambulance Service has been providing comprehensive ambulance services with 10 well-equipped ambulances. They have handled as many as 135,000 cases. NAS is also engaged on training activities to ensure quality services in the future.
Pandemic Preparedness
During COVID-19, hospitals serving rapidly growing peri-urban communities found themselves acutely underprepared. What emerged from the crisis, however, became a blueprint for how coordinated action between philanthropy, science, and frontline healthcare delivery can build a lasting resilience.
Gorkha E-learning Collaborative and Covid Assistance
Launched in September 2020 as a COVID-19 response, the Gorkha Foundation's distance learning training for teachers and administrators grew into the Gorkha E-learning Collaborative filtered around community needs. The project empowers educators with tools to use learning even where electricity and internet are unreliable, driving both educational and social transformation.
Promoting Social Entrepreneurship for Vulnerable Groups
With collaboration with Engage Nepal, HNN/HEFN helped the women entrepreneurs of the company to enroll in the Daraz online portal and develop their own portal named Nature Craft. They help them to participate in exhibitions and fairs, helped the company of them for their brand promotion, supported 75 women on their productions in group basis. Nearly 200 women are now able to produce and sell their goods at their own and earn minimum Rs. 4,000 to max 17,000 per month for their living.
Project KARMA: Capacity Building to Enhance Skill and Livelihood
KARMA project in partnership with International Development Institute (IDI) and Engage Nepal, implemented the series of targetted skill building and entrepreneurship interventions. This activities were carried out in close coordination with Dhulikhel, Namobuddha and Surya Binayak municipalities. The project specifically addressed the needs of marginalized population to the primary focuss on women with socio-economic disruptions of Covid-19.
Strengthening Grassroot People Fight Covid 19
HNN and HEFN started working with Engage Nepal in early 2020 during the Covid 19 pandemic situation. They provided 650 kg of nutritious food, 260 sets of warm clothes to 240 children, 185 sets of foods to pregnant and lactating mothers, 125 children were provided community learning classes for eight months, and 140 jobless families were provided food relief for three months in Shankharapur Pharping and Manoharaa of Kathmandu Valley.
Green Homes;Green Kathmandu, Green School
The Green Homes Green Kathmandu project addresses Kathmandu's environmental challenges by converting 60 households into sustainable green homes focused on waste aggregation, composting, and recycling education that helps students in school management with knowledge and skills actively working toward the protection and conservation of the Earth. Similarly, Green School aims to establish educational institutions that equip students and school management with the knowledge and skills to actively address environmental challenges, contributing to the protection and conservation of Earth.
